Diprente is an independent Johannesburg-based production company, helmed by Tamsin Andersson and Kagiso Lediga. Founded in 2009, the company is known for distinctive, boundary-pushing African storytelling with global reach.


Diprente develops, finances, and produces premium television shows and films, executing projects from development through physical production and delivery. Its television credits include the two-time International Emmy Award–nominated satirical news show Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola; Queen Sono, Netflix’s first African Original series; and Classified, co-produced with Skybound Entertainment (The Walking Dead, Invincible) for Sony Pictures Television, and sold across multiple territories including Africa (Netflix) and North America (Amazon Prime Video).


Its feature film slate includes Sabbatical (Rotterdam, BlackStar), Catching Feelings (Netflix), and the cult coming-of-age hit Matwetwe (Wizard) (Fantastic Fest, Rotterdam), executive produced by Grammy Award–winning artist Black Coffee.


Diprente is currently advancing a dynamic development slate, including a film adaptation of The Girl Who Saved the King of Sweden, the international bestseller by Jonas Jonasson.
